SHINE is a non-profit secular inclusive organization whose mission is to foster a sense of belonging and a rich home-educating community through creative, diverse and oriented on children’s needs and abilities educational activities and support programs aligned with core Canadian values.
What We Do
We enable families to develop educational methods that best suit their philosophies, beliefs, and lifestyle.
PROGRAMS FOR KIDS
We organize educational, sport, outdoor, social programs, events and field trips tailored to kids needs. We facilitate opportunities for a variety of friendly, educational, recreational and social activities for group members and/or their families
OPPORTUNITIES
We provide outreach in University opportunities for gifted students and and enrichment options based on the interests. We facilitate opportunities for parent to parent support that may include support group meetings, lectures, panels, retreats, informal gatherings, one to one contact, e-groups, newsletters, conferences, etc.
HELP OUR COMMUNITY
We facilitate community connections, support groups, co-operative learning groups. Connecting families to the home education boards, advocacy support. Recreational therapy options and help with referrals in the public health system for kids with special needs.
